Banjul The Gambia, April 22, 2026 - The Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC) will organise a five-day Sports Administrators Course aimed at strengthening the capacity of sports journalists across the country.
Scheduled to run from May 18 to May 22, 2026, the training will take place at the GNOC Conference Hall in Bakau. The initiative targets members of the Sports Journalists’ Association of The Gambia and is part of GNOC’s broader commitment to improving sports reporting through a deeper understanding of sports administration.
The course will bring together 25 participants, with a minimum of 40 percent female representation.
The initiative underscores GNOC’s ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between journalism and sports management, equipping media practitioners with the knowledge needed to report more effectively and contribute to the development of sport in The Gambia.
