Banjul, The Gambia, July 10, 2023 - The Gambia National Olympic Committee opens a 5 days Sport Administration course for 20 FEMALE COACHES OF NATIONAL SPORTS ASSOCIATIONS
Speaking at the opening ceremony held on Monday at the Olympic house in Bakau, the president of the GNOC Beatrice Allen reiterated the NOC continuous support to National Sport Associations.
I would like to welcome all of you to the Olympic House for the 1st Sports Administration Course being organized exclusively for FEMALE COACHES OF NATIONAL SPORTS ASSOCIATIONS by the Gambia National Olympic Committee..
This course is designed to equip National Sports Associations strengthen their administrative approach, structures and skills in the administration and management of their sport Allen said
I wish to thank our experienced Course Directors-Mr Lamin Sanneh and Mr. Ebou Joof who have always made themselves available whenever their services are needed. They both have been so dedicated to the course of duty and have more than 25years of experience.
I therefore, do not doubt that at the end of the course you will all go home with skills to better manage your Sports and the athletes under your charge, also know more about the Olympic Movement and better understand how it operates.
To course participants, being a leader entrusted with the welbeing of others is not an easy task, we believe this training is one of the giant steps that can be taken as induction for you as well as to broaden your understanding to the values of the Olympic Movement and sports as a whole. Therefore,
I encourage you to take the course seriously as it incorporates all the skills required for NOC stakeholders- athletes, Coaches, and Managers, etc….
