Banjul The Gambia, May 15, 2026 - The Gambia National Olympic Committee has successfully concluded its Sports Administrators Course for National Sports Associations, marking the end of an important capacity-building programme aimed at strengthening sports administration in The Gambia.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Bakary K. Jammeh, 2nd Vice President of the GNOC, commended participants for their dedication and active involvement throughout the course. He challenged them to continue supporting the development of sports in the country by applying the knowledge and skills gained during the training in their respective associations.

Course Director Lamin Sanneh also delivered a statement, expressing appreciation to the participants, facilitators, and organisers for the successful completion of the programme. He highlighted the importance of effective sports administration in promoting professionalism, good governance, and sustainable growth within National Sports Associations.

The course forms part of GNOC’s ongoing commitment to empowering sports administrators and enhancing the overall development of sports in The Gambia.
