Banjul, The Gambia, October 29, 2025 - Basketball star Yassin Jaal Mboob has been confirm among 15 eligible candidates representing 15 NOCs to vye for positions in the ISSA Athletes Commission Election which will take place on November 6 at 11:00 AM at the CDM Meeting Hall in the ISG 2025 Athletes’ Village in Riyadh.
Mboob is a former member of the Gambian National 3x3 basketball team, she was part of The Gambia women 3x3 basketball team at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya.
In April 2025, she was elected as the Assistant Secretary-General of the Gambia Basketball Association. She has served as a FIBA 3x3 National Coordinator and is actively involved in promoting basketball in the Gambia.
Currently she serves as the Secretary General of Gambia National Olympic Committee Athletes Commision.
