Banjul, The Gambia, May 25, 2024 - The Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC) on Saturday held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at its headquarters in Bakau after two unsuccessful ones failed in December and March.
The convergence is part of the constitutional mandate of the committee to annually report to its members, activities carried out and budget spent in the year under review.
The convergence gave members the opportunity to scrutinize and debate matters concerning the development of sport.
In the 5 hour long debate, member associations approved the 2023 Secretary General's and the Treasurer's audited account reports. Delegates also adopted the 2024 activity plan and budget as presented.
Meanwhile Pa Assan Sylva's nomination as Acting 1st Vice President was approved by the members following the resignation of the former vice president.
