Banjul, The Gambia, December 6, 2025- The Honorable minister of Youth and Sport Bakary Y Badgie on Saturday presided on the handing over of the Gambia National Flag to Team Gambia as they prepare to jet out to Angola for the ANOCA African Youth Games.
At a ceremony held at the Olympic House Minister Badjie reiterated on his Ministry commitments and willingness to support the development of sport in the Gambia. Badjie urge the athetes to be good ambassador of the land and bring home medal.
" I am extremely proud of the phenomenal successes in our sport and I must confess that all this is possible because of the willingness of the athletes and the commitment from the NOC.
On his part the President of GNOC Bai Dodou Jallow highlighted on the readiness of our athletes citing efforts and support the committee did to better prepare them for the event.
The first delegation of the team will jet out on Sunday whiles the rest of the contingent will fly out on Monday. The games is slated from December 10 through December 20.
