As part of its strides to enhance clean sports, fair play and integrity within Gambian athletes, Mr Kemo Marr and Ndey Fatou Ann recently took part in the 2025 RADO Doping Control Officer (DCO) Workshop held in Nairobi, Kenya, fully supported by The Gambia National Olympic Committee.

Organized by the Africa Zone V Regional Anti-Doping Organization (RADO) and the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK), with support from WADA and SuperSport.

The event brought together Doping Control Officers (DCOs) from nine African nations — Burundi, Eritrea, The Gambia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda — marking the start of a regional capacity-building workshop aimed at strengthening the fight for Clean Sport across Africa. The collaboration underscored the shared commitment to fair play, integrity, and excellence in sport across the region.

Following their accreditation, the two become first Gambians to be certified as DCOs and would now on be able to carry out Formal Testing of Athletes on behalf of WADA, COMMONWEALTH GAMES, AFRICAN GAMES, OLYMPICS ETC.
