Banjul, The Gambia, February 6, 2024 - The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee has resolved that the countries that reached the quarterfinals of last year's AFCON Total Energies U-20 competition will have automatic qualification to participate in the All-Africa Games to be held in Ghana from 8th - 24th March, 2024.

The Gambia that went to the final with Senegal will be joined by Benin, Congo, Nigeria, South Sudan, Tunisia, Uganda, and host country Ghana for the continent's biggest sporting event.

The Gambia U-20 National Team has been drawn in Group A of the All-Africa Games football championship alongside hosts Ghana, Benin and Congo. Group B consists of five teams with Nigeria as titled holders, alongside South Sudan, Senegal, Uganda and Tunisia.
